Common Questions About The Clubhouse

Everything families ask before their first visit. Don’t see your question? Email us anytime at nweirich@theclubhousewc.com

What is The Clubhouse?

The Clubhouse in Phoenixville is a kids enrichment center where children build confidence, creativity, and real social skills through play — and where parents get a real break.

We run school closure days, summer camp, birthday parties, team bonding for youth sports teams, seasonal community events, and creative workshops for adults. The space is also available to rent. Everything is screen-free, small-group, and designed by a bilingual special educator with an M.S. in School Psychology.

How is The Clubhouse different from daycare or an indoor playground?

The Clubhouse is not daycare, therapy, or an indoor playground. It’s an enrichment space focused on building confidence, creativity, social skills, and emotional awareness through intentional play.

All programming is designed by a bilingual special educator with a master’s in School Psychology. Kids build real skills through guided activities that feel like the best part of their week. Sessions are screen-free and small-group — up to 8 children per instructor — not a free-for-all.

What ages do you serve?

School Closure Days: Ages 4–12, full-day drop-off.

Summer Camp: Ages 3–12, themed weekly sessions June through August.

Birthday Parties: Ages 5–12.

Team Bonding: Youth sports teams of any age.

Adult Workshops: Creative gatherings for parents and caregivers.

Is this just play, or are kids actually learning?

Both — and that’s the whole point. While it feels like the best part of their week, kids are constantly building confidence, communication, emotional awareness, independence, and real social skills.

The learning happens naturally while kids feel joyful and successful. That’s not an accident — it’s how the programming was designed.

Is this therapy or a clinical program?

No. The Clubhouse is an enrichment space focused on connection, confidence, creativity, and community through play.

That said, the programming was created by Nicole Weirich, a bilingual special educator with over 13 years of experience and an M.S. in School Psychology — so every session is grounded in how kids actually develop, even though it just feels like fun.

Is this a good fit if my child is shy or slow to warm up?

This is one of the most common reasons families find us. We never rush kids into participating. Children are welcome to observe, ease in slowly, and join when they feel ready.

Our predictable routines, warm team, and small groups naturally build trust and confidence over time — without pressure or spotlighting.

Is The Clubhouse a good fit for kids with sensory needs?

Absolutely. The Clubhouse was specifically designed for children who thrive in calmer, more structured environments. The founder, Nicole Weirich, has 13+ years in special education and an M.S. in School Psychology.

The space is exciting enough for kids who crave stimulation and calm enough for kids who need it. Parents are always welcome to share specific needs at registration or check-in.

What if my child has big emotions or struggles with transitions?

Big emotions are completely normal and expected here. Our team remains calm, patient, and supportive when children feel overwhelmed.

We help kids regulate, reset, and rejoin the group when they’re ready — without shame, rushing, or labeling. Emotional safety is just as important to us as physical safety.

How many kids are in a group?

Groups are kept small so every child feels seen. Sessions have up to 8 children per instructor. We always prioritize quality, safety, and connection over crowd size.

Can siblings attend together?

Yes — many families attend with multiple children. Some activities are grouped by age, while others keep siblings together. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to help you figure out the best fit.

What should my child wear or bring?

Send your child with a labeled water bottle, an AM snack, lunch, and a PM snack. Dress them in comfortable clothes they can move, climb, and create in — please choose outfits where getting messy is no big deal. We provide all activity materials, so no extra prep needed from you.

Do parents stay or drop off?

School closure days and summer camp are drop-off programs. You get a real break while your child is engaged, supervised, and having the time of their life.

For birthday parties and adult workshops, grownups stay and enjoy it too.

How do I know if this is the right fit before committing?

There’s nothing to commit to. Book a single school closure day, see how your child responds, and go from there. No membership, no packages, no long-term anything — that’s how almost every Clubhouse family started.

If you have questions before booking, email us at nweirich@theclubhousewc.com. Your confidence and your child’s comfort matter most.

How do I register for a program?

All programs require pre-registration — there’s no walk-in availability. Every program page has a booking link that shows real-time availability, so you’ll know exactly what’s open. Start with school closure days →

What’s your cancellation policy?

For school closure days and drop-off sessions, cancel 48+ hours ahead for a credit toward a future day. Cancellations within 48 hours and no-shows are non-refundable. Summer camp and special events have their own windows.

If we ever cancel a session, you’ll always receive a full refund or future credit. Read the full Cancellation & Sick Policy →

What if my child is sick?

Please keep them home if they have a fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or anything contagious, and until they’re fever-free for 24 hours without medication. Email us before the day starts and we’ll give you a credit toward a future day — we’d always rather have a healthy kid another time than a sick kid today.

What about allergies or medical needs?

You’ll share any allergy or medical information during registration so our team is prepared before your child’s first session. If your child has specific needs, reach out ahead of time and we’ll make sure we have a plan in place.
